The Production Helper may be assigned to any department to assist in meeting the needs of production.
Responsibilities Unload parts off the sheet lasers.Grind and finish metal parts.Sort and count order quantities. Select correct hand tooling for the job task with setup documents or supervisor/lead assistance. Perform assigned work to time standards and quality expectationsAccount for time and work completed via online computer data collection system.Make routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve basic manufacturing issues or seek assistance. Report and document basic material, production and quality control issues. Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards.Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, twist, and transport product and materials short distances.Basic understanding of computers and ability to perform computer functions as they pertain to the job.Ability to work collaboratively and productively in a team-environment.Ability to work safely and without injury with hand tools in an environment with metal and sharp objects.Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure online manuals.Demonstrated detail orientation, self motivation skills and ability to multi-taskDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formatsMust have excellent written and verbal communication skills.Competent at basic dimensional measuring and able to quickly learn the use of precision measurement tools.Demonstrated competency in basic shop math.Basic ability to read and understand blueprints and other shop drawing aids.Ability to work with various types of metal forming constraints with guidance.Previous experience with overhead crane use is desired.Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change.Work in an efficient and timely mannerAptitude to take orders and execute the same efficientlyDemonstrated detail orientation, self motivation skills and ability to multi-taskEqual opportunity employer of women, minorities, protected veterans and individuals with disabilities.
