Main Duties & Responsibilities

Adhere to Terex safety policies and proceduresRead and interpret blueprints. Capable of working from drawings, sketches, templates, temporary stop gauging devices and patterns, as well as set up jigs and fixtures. Access computer terminalsOperate various types of welding machines on various materials: Short arc, stick, FCAW on X1050, T-1, etc.Operate stationary and/or portable grinders and pneumatic chipping hammers to remove excess metal, oxidation and foreign matter from weldments and structuresComply with TEREX Utilities quality standards through error prevention and by meeting such requirements with zero defectsFollow and promote The Terex Way ValuesCompliance with all applicable occupational health and safety requiredFunction as a team member and contribute to group goals while maintaining a positive attitudePerform other functions as needed

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED0-2 years of manufacturing experienceAble to lift up to 40 lbs. and 40-100 lbs. with assistance of others or lifting equipment provided

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Possess good mechanical aptitudeCapable of using most hand toolsUnderstand and follow verbal and written instructionsRead wiring schematics or the willingness to learn howOperate welding equipment and overhead cranesWork with small gage, multi-colored wires and connectersAtmospheric exposure to dust and vaporsCertain personal protective equipment is required

Work Environment Considerations:

Ability to stand on concrete 8+ hours per shiftAble to climb ladders and over and under vehicles.Tolerable to heights

Salary: The compensation range for this position is $22-24 hourly. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
