OverviewThe Production Lead plays an essential role in overseeing the operation of production lines to ensure quality, efficiency and safety. The production leader must have the ability to motivate employees as well as organizational skills and critical thinking to achieve department goals.
Responsibilities Organizing and delegating tasks to production line workersInspecting products to ensure they meet company quality standardsTraining new staff on production line procedures and safety protocolsMonitoring the production process and making necessary adjustments for efficiencyEnsuring all equipment is maintained and functioning properlyImplementing and upholding safety regulations and quality control measuresReporting safety incidents in a prompt manner to the Plant Manager Maintaining communication between management and production line workersManaging the production schedule and meeting production targetsReporting and resolving any issues or disruptions of the production processDocumenting production data and maintaining accurate recordsOrdering supplies necessary for the production lineOther tasks as assigned Qualifications Provide leadership and feedback to team members Have a sense of urgency with ability to multitaskReliable, dependable and punctualBe able to lift to 50 poundsBe able to use heavy tools and perform assemblies and or deconstructing assembled partsBe able to understand/interpret written and verbal specificationsBilingual (English/Spanish)Forklift experience (Preferred)COMPUTER SKILLS
Ability to use computers and use basic software
