Our client in the Newark, DE area is looking to hire a Production Lead for their location. The ideal candidate will need basic mathematical skills and advanced skills in production reports. Responsibilities for this position include machine operation and crews in a light industrial setting. Must manage machine teams to ensure proper and safe operation of assigned equipment. Responsible for quality, output, and meeting production goals. Additionally, fulfills the job duties of a Production Technician 1, 2, and 3 as required.

The Day-to-Day:

Monitors the performance of machines and personnel. Provides feedback to personnel. Ensures that goals are being met, crews have the tools and resources needed, and issues are communicated to the Supervisor.Ensures that the processes are being followed for production and material handling.Applies advanced troubleshooting skills and performs basic maintenance on assigned machines that improve quality and performance. Assists crew members when needed.Organizes crew activities and delegates assignments. Trains and develops all crew members.Monitors product quality for correctness and reports when errors occur.Monitors print and bundle quality. Makes adjustments as necessary to correct quality issues. Monitors product waste and takes steps to reduce or eliminate spoilage and doubles.Maintains accurate record keeping IE: safety audits, packages per hour, labor hours per thousand, and other logs or forms.Informs other Operators/Supervisors of pertinent information and communicates to other shifts as necessary.Monitors and promotes a safe and clean workplace.Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School DiplomaAbility to lead as a cell leader (multiple machines).Ability to work in a fast-paced environment (varying upon equipment).Ability and knowledge to operate a pallet jack.Ability to work overtime, beyond the regular schedule, to complete work assignments as required.

Pay Rate:

$19.00 /hr
