Production Line Lead

Under general supervision, performs a wide range of tasks for the production department, assisting the Manager in effectively leading a manufacturing line to produce consistent results. This is a working Lead position who will build product as well as ensure the processes produce high quality results. The successful candidate will have strong electro/mechanical skills. ITAR clearance required. The Line Lead’s essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Focuses on mechanical assembly of high-level box build assembliesEnsures that all employees in the assigned work area are knowledgeable and perform their job in accordance with corporate policies and proceduresProvides tools, materials and documentation to accomplish daily tasks efficientlyMotivates and encourages positive morale and teamwork. Leads by exampleEnsures that a clean and safe work environment is maintained at all timesMake sure that personnel are adequately trained and assists in training people working in the areaAudits and verifies that work is performed in accordance with all documentation.When conflicts occur between company objectives for quality, delivery, and labor standards, and the documentation the Lead is responsible for bringing them to management’s attentionBuilds to the given schedule efficiently; In the event of a backlog, prioritizes work with Director of Operations.Coordinates requirements with the material handler to achieve on-time material to work the cellReports on daily performance for the work area on all assigned workTakes necessary corrective actions to ensure stated goals are met or exceededWorks with the managers and supervisors to ensure adequate staff is available to perform work in accordance with customer commitments

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred or equivalent combination of education and experienceTwo to three years related electro-mechanical assembly line experience.

Good leadership and coaching skillsAbility to use good judgment and have good problem-solving skillsKnowledge of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) requirements.Ability to work with minimal supervisionAbility to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization Ability to define problems; collect data; establish facts; and draw valid conclusionsStrong customer service focusMust have excellent written and oral communication skillsMust be able to read, write, and speak English fluentlyBe flexible, adaptable, and willing to modify activities and direction with an ever-changing business environmentStrong interpersonal skills and work ethicPossess a professional attitude and promote the same in others

ERGONOMIC REQUIREMENTS

The employee may be required to stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor. The employee may also be required to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or exert up to 10 pounds of force frequently. The employee is subject to a normal office and shop environment with occasional exposure to high noise levels from operating machines or physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the anticipated starting pay for this position is between $25/hour - $27/hour. Full-time employees are also eligible for performance-based bonuses and benefits. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as a final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, education, location and shift.
