Production Line Operator

Machine Operators are responsible for continuously monitoring and maintaining product quality based on established standards including visual and mechanical inspection of product, as well as work in a safe manner at all times following all safety policies and procedures. Performing setups in accordance with established procedure, operating, and loading/unloading equipment. Work from written and verbal instructions, procedures and work orders are also required.

Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours/week

Pay: $23.05- $27.83 per hour

Off Shift Differentials: $1/hour for second shift and $1.50/hour for third shift

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

Maintaining and logging all information required supporting traceability and quality, participating in cross-training activities, maintaining work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition, and performing other duties as required or directed.

Qualifications:

Required:

High school diploma, GED.Ability to prioritize and pay close attention to detail.Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, stooping, and bending is required.Must be able to work independently and distinguish colors.Must be able to use and read a micrometer.The ability to demonstrate your mechanical and computer skills.Must have good English skills in reading, writing and communicating.Must be able to work in a team environment and to work overtime as the need arises.Must be able to pass background check, drug test, and physical.

Preferred:

Prior manufacturing experience.Prior extrusion experience preferred.Wire drawing/extrusion/cabling experience.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

Will be required to stand, walk, and bend frequently.Occasionally lifting < 10pounds as needed.Occasionally required to lift and carry objects of 10-30 pounds as needed.Occasionally required to push and pull reels.Employee will be required to work productively and cooperatively in a high-volume, fast paced, highly pressured environment and be able to respond efficiently and courteously to unanticipated problems and crisis.
