Job Summary

The KBR Production Maintenance Team is seeking an experienced Production Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations of our production equipment and facilities. This key role is vital in ensuring that all manufacturing equipment operates efficiently, reliably, and safely. The Manager will lead a team of skilled technicians, manage maintenance schedules, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize equipment performance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in maintenance management, a deep understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes, and a strong dedication to operational excellence.

Roles and Responsibilities

Oversee all maintenance activities for production equipment, ensuring machinery is maintained, repaired, and operating at optimal levels. Develop and manage maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure seamless production operations.Lead, mentor, and develop a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Provide guidance on complex technical issues and ensure the team is well-equipped to handle maintenance challenges.Develop, implement, and continuously improve the preventative maintenance program to ensure equipment reliability and longevity. Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and proactively address potential issues.Manage the maintenance department budget, including labor, parts, and equipment costs. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety or quality.Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Honeywell’s safety standards and industry regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and ensure the team is trained in the latest safety protocols.Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and other departments to coordinate maintenance activities with the production schedule.Communicate effectively with stakeholders to keep them informed of maintenance activities and potential impacts on production.Oversee relationships with external vendors and contractors, ensuring services are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance.Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance, reduce downtime, and improve maintenance processes. Implement best practices and leverage new technologies to drive operational efficiency.Oversee the management of spare parts inventory, ensuring critical components are available when needed. Implement inventory management best practices to minimize waste and reduce lead times.

Basic Qualifications

Must be a U.S. Citizen.Minimum of 10 years of experience in maintenance, with at least 5 years in a management role, preferably within aerospace or a similarly regulated industry.Strong understanding of production equipment maintenance, including CNC machines, robotics, and automated manufacturing systems. Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related field.Advanced proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), with experience managing maintenance schedules, work orders, and equipment records.Experience in managing budgets and controlling costs within a maintenance department.

Preferred Qualifications

An advanced degree or MBA.Relevant certifications such as Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP), FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P), or Lean Six Sigma.Experience using SAP Plant Maintenance or Maximo.Extensive experience in the aerospace industry, particularly in maintaining and managing complex manufacturing equipment and facilities.Knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies, including predictive maintenance tools and smart manufacturing systems.Experience managing large-scale equipment installation, upgrades, or relocation projects within a manufacturing setting.Hands-on experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives, such as Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) or 5S, with measurable results in equipment uptime and operational efficiency.

Salary Range (as required):
$85,000
