Overview & Responsibilities:
The Production Manager supports digital first content for Nick Jr. animation development and the suite of Nickelodeon YouTube channels. They work hand-in-hand with internal teams and third parties to ensure projects are produced on-time, on-budget and at the highest quality. Oversight begins at the ideation stage and continues through delivery and wrap of the project. PM will be managing multiple projects simultaneously. Content is primarily animation, re-editorialized animation, or occasionally, live action.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Manages and develops production plans in partnership with the Line Producer and Creative Producer
Works with Line Producer to create budgets
Provides constant feedback to producers and alerts them to foreseeable conflicts or logistical challenges
Builds production and post-production timelines and keeps production executives and partners informed about any changes
Starts early prep on productions before the day-to-day production teams are assigned. Provide guidance or support to those teams as production is underway
Provides direction and mentorship to coordinator(s) and/or production assistant(s)
Ensures that agreements, contracts, and releases are fully implemented before production begins
Manages shoots/vo records in-person as needed
Works with cross functional partners: Business and Legal Affairs (BALA), Risk Management, Finance, Safety, Labor Relations, Production Technologies, Music, Talent, Marketing, and others, on project specific needs
Consults with risk management and follow internal guidance and processes to limit liability exposure
Schedules and leads related project specific production meetings and ensures meetings are on task and productive
Reconciles production costs on assigned projects against approved budget
Works with Production Accounting to prepare and process payroll paperwork
Prepares T&E reconciliations for p-cards and corporate cards
Fields inquiries from vendors regarding invoices, payments, and/or vendor setup
Maintains documentation on team’s shared drive
Maintains Airtable and other databases with relevant production information and schedules
Maintains and expands rolodex of highly qualified crew
Maintains, seeks, and supports a diverse workforce and vendor pool
Manages project wrap out and budget actualization for assigned projects
Fulfills other duties and tasks as requested by supervisor
Basic Qualifications:
Proven experience in animation production– ideally shortform animation experience at a studio, streamer, network, or agency
Deep familiarity with all phases of animation production from concept to delivery
6+ years of experience in physical production management
BA/BS Degree preferred

Proficiency in MS Office, Movie Magic budgeting, Airtable
Familiarity with labor laws, working with minors, and union and union obligations

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $85,000.00 - 100,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
