Clariant is seeking a Production Manager to provide operational leadership, resource management, cost control, and continuous improvement for the Adsorbents and Additives business unit at the Colton plant. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, compliant, and productive operations while meeting strategic business objectives. The Production Manager will oversee daily production planning, resource allocation, and compliance with stringent military and government contract requirements. This role is a full time, onsite opportunity. Clariant offers a competitive base salary of $92,102.40 - $116,279, an annual 10% bonus, PTO and more. Responsibilities

•    Report directly to the Site Manager and lead a team of 10 operators
•    Manage organizational and administrative tasks, including Kronos and PTO scheduling
•    Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production processes
•    Oversee daily production planning by reviewing material and resource availability.
•    Confirm labor, machine, and goods issue to process orders; investigate and resolve discrepancies
•    Develop and manage the operations budget, analyzing trends to identify opportunities for improvement
•    Drive cost-saving initiatives and process optimizations
•    Ensure adherence to over 700 government contract flow-downs, including "Zero Defect" requirements for military and prime contractors
•    Maintain ITAR compliance and uphold all safety and quality standards
•    Oversee all aspects of material master data, including Basic Data, MRP, BOM, and recipe creation
•    Review customer requirements and drawings for new material creation
•    Exercise a high degree of independence in decision-making to meet or exceed objectives defined by the Site Manager and Head of Operations Adsorbents
 


 

Requirements

•    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field preferred
•    Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment
•    Proficiency in MS Office applications
•    Working knowledge of SAP modules (MM, SD, PP) is a plus
•    Effective organizational abilities to handle multiple challenges simultaneously
•    Excellent communication and teamwork skills
•    Results-oriented focus, contributing to sales/EBIT with zero accidents
