Kimley-Horn has an opportunity for a Production Manager to join our South Region in Alpharettta, Georgia (GA).
ResponsibilitiesThe Production Manager is responsible for managing and optimizing the activities of professional services within the Region by efficiently providing the necessary resources to ensure the profitable completion of projects while meeting contract scope, quality, cost and schedule requirements.
Support project managers in meeting contractual obligations and client commitments for professional services in the ACEC industryMaintain effective staff utilization and ensure utilization goals are exceeded for exempt status employeesPartner with project managers and office managers to ensure that production staff is effectively utilizedPartner with project managers to implement project work planning and financial control on projectsSupport project managers and office managers to ensure workforce planning is undertaken at all levelsPromote and implement quality assurance and quality control procedures with client serversAssist Project Managers in meeting client contract requirements with efficient use of resourcesAssist in the management of risk exposureEffectively communicate with production staffAssist project managers in maintaining excellent client service Qualifications A bachelor’s degree is required10 or more years of operations, project, and/or production management experience within the professional servies fieldUnderstanding, knowledge and focus on the essential elements of production management of professional servicesWillingness to partner with practice to solve other’s problemsAbility to motivate and give confidence to othersDecisiveness – willing to take responsibility and riskAbility to use logic to solve technical problems on multiple issues at same timeAbility to communicate wellSense of urgency/high expectation of othersStrong project management skillsPrevious experience in electrical consulting, design and/or power delivery is a plus Why Kimley-Horn?
