Production Manager

The Production Manager oversees daily manufacturing operations to ensure high-quality, on-time, and cost-effective production. This role leads cross-functional teams, drives safety and performance, and supports strategic initiatives including capacity expansion and continuous improvement. The position also focuses on employee development and the implementation of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) practices.
**Essential Functions**
+ **Production Management**
+ Direct daily manufacturing activities to meet production goals, ensure product quality, and maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
+ Coordinate with internal teams to align schedules, inventory, and resources.
+ **Team Development**
+ Lead and support both hourly and salaried staff.
+ Promote a culture of accountability and continuous learning through coaching, performance feedback, and development planning.
+ **Process Optimization**
+ Identify and implement improvements in production workflows to reduce waste, lower costs, and increase efficiency.
+ Use performance metrics to guide decision-making.
+ **Cross-Functional Collaboration**
+ Partner with departments such as customer service, logistics, maintenance, and R&D to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of finished goods.
+ **Strategic Initiatives**
+ Contribute to long-term business objectives by supporting capital projects, capacity expansion, and new product launches.
**Requirements:**
+ **Education:**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering — Required
+ Master’s Degree in Business or Engineering — Preferred
+ **Work Experience:**
+ 7–10 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong emphasis on team collaboration — Required
+ 7–10 years of demonstrated success in identifying and implementing process improvements — Required
+ **Practical/Technical Knowledge:**
+ Proven ability to lead in a team-based environment and collaborate effectively to solve problems — Required
+ Experience with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or similar continuous improvement methodologies — Required
+ Proficiency in QAD, MQ1, or comparable enterprise systems — Required
+ Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, and Outlook — Required
+ Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to respond quickly and creatively to unexpected challenges — Required
+ Experience in composite or plastic film coating, converting, or processing — Preferred
Prior experience in an ISO-certified environment — Preferred
