What you’ll do:

Ensure optimal efficiency for department resources, to include safety, quality, product safety, planning, directing, goal setting, training, morale, discipline, coach, equipment management and maintenance, contract adherence, production scheduling and communicationMeet with Production Supervisors to review their shifts and production performance. Directing subordinates in good, safe work practices; train and direct subordinatesMeet with Plant Engineer to evaluate status of projects and work on better manufacturing methods and continuous improvement/spoilage reduction efforts of materials and equipmentReview maintenance logbooks and schedule repairs and plan preventative maintenance with Maintenance DepartmentReview schedules and provide resources (material and people) needed to meet requirementsMeet with the Union to resolve any issues or grievancesMeet with the Plant Manager daily to provide critical and timely information for quick and effective decision makingMeet with the Quality Manager and supervisor daily to resolve immediate issues and review customer complaintsRun sample product trials and submit samples for evaluationProvide a positive and safe cullture

What you’ll need to have:
