Objectives of the Position
Responsible for overseeing the daily production operations to ensure the required products are produced and packed on time, safely and within the required quality
Main Task
Ensure all environmental, health and safety rules and guidelines are fully adhered and maintaining high safety standards for a safe working environment by the production personnels.Plan, organize, and manage daily production activities to ensure that production schedules targets are met.Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production supervisors, foremen and operators, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify training needs for team members.Facilitate effective communication within the production team and across departments.Perform internal audits to support Integrated Management System ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO 45001, IATF 16949 Quality Management System for Automotive industry.Implement and uphold quality control measures to maintain product quality requirements and consistency within production team.Initiate investigation to identify the root cause and sustainably implement necessary corrective actions on non-compliance or incidents on safety, quality, production efficiency and customer complaints.Ensure all the production personnel are working according to work instruction and procedures adhering to BASF standards.Prepare, update and maintain procedure, work instruction, EASI, HIRA, WSP & other documentations on environment, quality and safety involving production operations for compliance.Manage production resources, including raw materials, equipment, and personnel, to optimize productivity and minimize waste.Lead initiatives for production process optimization and cost reduction, utilizing methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Polymer Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in production management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in engineering plastics or compounding.Proven experience leading teams and managing production operations.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
