Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure efficient and cost-effective production results. Each day, you will be responsible to meet order demand, specifications, quality, and planning targets through the coordination and management of plant equipment, personnel, and production processes (quantity, quality, budgeted costs, and proper productivity level). You will also showcase your expertise by developing programs, projects, goals, and metrics to lead the organization to the highest level of operational performance while optimizing working capital throughout Operations.The work model for the role is: onsite #LI-Onsite This role is contributing to the Motion NEMA Motors division in {insert region}. Main stakeholders are {insert main stakeholder groups if available}.You will be mainly accountable for:- Responsible for the health and safety of all employees and contractors for the teams in scope, and continuous improvement in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) processes to maintain world-class performance.- Preparing annual production budget, overseeing progress, and determining actions to cost issues as necessary to manage operations within the budget and resources.- Developing and executing plans to reduce non-value-added costs, increase revenues, and delight customers by delivering products on time with high factory and supplier yields and decreasing product field failure rates.- Champion efforts to build a continuous improvement culture in which every team member understands expectations and seeks to achieve KPI targets.- Responsible for training and development of staff, time keeping, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, and ensuring consistent application of organizational needs.- Providing support as required, during customer visits to explain the capabilities of the manufacturing facilities.Our team dynamicsYou will join a talented, and high performing team, where you will be able to thrive.

Qualifications for the role

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field + 10 years of experience highly desired OR Associates degree + 12 years of experience OR high school diploma + 14 years of experience. Strong leadership and supervisory experience in manufacturing, engineering, or supply chain.Lean manufacturing and/or continuous improvement experience.Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs required. Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.Preferred Experiences:Previous Experience with SAP and Kronos.Lean, Quality, or Maintenance Certification. Background in a machining, die casting and/or stamping manufacturing environment.
