**Main Purpose of the Job**
The Production Manager collaboratively drive the factory towards World-Class Manufacturing Excellence by empowering and engaging teams to achieve high performance and autonomy, while ensuring that production plans are met on time and in compliance with safety, quality, cost, delivery, and environmental standards, thereby fostering a culture of continuous improvement and establishing the factory as a Lean Enterprise.

+ To ensure and sustain operational safety and product quality while maintaining accurate records and managing costs, alongside the development and implementation of strategic plans within the factory :
+ Foster positive working relationships with unions.
+ Oversee the timely launch of new or renovated products to the Markets.
+ Integrate Environmental Sustainability into manufacturing objectives.
+ Foster a strong Safety and Quality Culture, enforcing hygiene and safety procedures.
+ Maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
+ Collaborate with logistics to achieve service targets and sustainably reduce inventory levels.
+ Guarantee compliance to ensure finished products meet quality standards, are delivered on time, and align with consumer expectations.
+ Manage a five-year capacity plan focused on optimal cost and service levels.
+ Prioritize improvement efforts based on loss analysis.
+ Establish governance for NCE implementation to drive business results.
+ Embed NCE projects into factory objectives and align the leadership team.
+ Ensure effective cascading of priorities from the Market to the factory.

+ Ensure the development of departmental teams and staff, including temporary personnel, through engagement, empowerment, performance management, career development, succession planning, and coaching.
+ Steward, train, support, and coach AWG Teams in manufacturing competencies (e.g., Process Mastership, AM, GA, FI) and applicable standards.
+ Develop the competency of Local Leadership Teams, assisting them in applying methodologies to improve and sustain results.
+ Enhance personal functional competence and process mastership to support departmental autonomy.
+ Support career succession planning and build organizational capability by managing PDPs.
+ Invest time in coaching teams on the floor, monitoring compliance with operating standards, safety, and housekeeping, while checking operational key standard routines.
+ Foster a healthy employee relations climate.
+ Participate in training to enhance personal development.
+ Develop TPM competencies in the factory to support autonomy.
+ Facilitate the Factory Leadership Team (FLT) and Local Leadership Team (LLT) in achieving business goals by applying NCE methodologies.
+ Translate market and function priorities into the Factory Operational Management Plan (OMP).
+ Support the factory competency building plan to ensure NCE develops autonomy at all organizational levels.
+ Steward, train, support, and coach Factory and Local Leadership Teams and Local Leadership Team (LLT) in manufacturing competencies (TPM, IP) and applicable standards.
+ Develop the competency of Local and Factory Leadership Teams and Local Leadership Team to apply methodologies for improvement and sustainability (e.g. NCE methodologies, Value Added Activities, Workload studies).
+ Support sustained competencies in Manufacturing Excellence for the factory.
**Manages and improves departmental costs to enhance profitability and drive results in Manufacturing Excellence.**
+ Lead and sponsor cost improvement projects to enhance Factory TDC.
+ Coach the implementation of TPM in the factory, aligning progress and losses with business needs.
+ Conduct benchmarking to challenge cost elements and reduce supply chain losses.
+ Promote cross-fertilization of manufacturing best practices, knowledge, and standards across the factory.
+ Manage and optimize the departmental budget.
+ Ensure effective cascading of priorities and measures from the business to the factory.
+ Participate in factory loss analysis and develop cost improvement action plans.
+ Celebrate and reward individual and team successes.
+ Drive continuous improvement (PDCA) to achieve breakthrough results.
+ Ensure understanding of NCE methodologies within the Factory Leadership Team and promote integration to avoid silo working.
+ Conduct specific projects to improve results based on factory priorities.
+ Provide hands-on support to Local Leadership Teams and Operating Teams to accelerate results (coaching on the floor).
+ Ensure the effectiveness of NCE implementation in delivering business results.
+ Apply methodologies and tools pragmatically to focus on results.
+ Collaborate with the Factory Cost Controller to ensure competence in Costing Standards for Manufacturing.
+ Connect with the Market Excellence Manager to drive NCE in manufacturing
**Critical Experiences**
**What experiences are key to success in this position?**
• Factory experience (4 years +), preferable acting as Production/Maintenance Manager or Manufacturing Analyst.
• Strong Practical experience in leading and coaching NCE in manufacturing competencies.
• Successfully led and developed cross-functional teams.
• Experience of program management.
