A great opportunity exists for a Production Manager/Site Operations Manager to join our team based in Clayton. This position encompasses driving all aspects of the factory, including safety, quality, production, and maintenance. You will manage production to supply products on time and in full according to the production schedule while maintaining product quality, efficiency of the production process, and continuous improvements.
**Job Responsibilities**
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to, the following.
• Coordinate, develop, and manage a small crew of assemblers and engineering workshop, set up sales orders with material consumption and oversee a Production Coordinator
• Work collaboratively with the management team to understand and deliver the business needs.
• Provide input for development of best-in-class operations to exceed business requirements now and into the future
• Ensure products meet quality standards and ISO 9001 certification requirements
• Proven continuous improvement, OH&S, compliance and change management are integral to success.
• Coordinate, manage and monitor the assembly operations with a focus on improving customer satisfaction
• Review capacity of assembly facility in line with sales forecasts and make
recommendations as required
• Work closely with the supply chain and procurement teams to ensure inventory is available to meet customer orders.
• Ensure the accuracy of the inventory held on site.
• Identify new opportunities that will give added value and income opportunities
• Coaching and training to assist in the development of competencies of personnel
• Provide regular reports on assembly performance
**Background & Skills**
The ideal candidate possesses these skills.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering / management or 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Leadership experience in manufacturing operations
• Proven ability to drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Solid knowledge of HSE regulations, production processes, and cost management
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
