We are looking for a Production Material Coordinator for our facility in Broken Arrow, OK
Position Summary
The Production Material Coordinator is responsible for leading and coordinating the flow of materials within the production environment. This role ensures that materials are available to meet production schedules and that inventory levels are maintained accurately. This position will report directly to the Focus Factory Manager.
Responsibilities: Material Management: Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between departments according to production and shipping schedules. Handle excess/unused materials and return them back to the warehouse. Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory records, perform regular cycle counts, and ensure materials are stored correctly. Quality Assurance: Verify that materials delivered to production departments conform to specifications and address any quality issues with the Quality Control (QC) manager. Logistics Coordination: Arrange in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules and manage the movement of materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or material carts. Data Entry: Enter data into the ERP system for all incoming materials and update inventory records. Communication: Work closely with department supervisors to determine material requirements and address any discrepancies with the production manager. Safety Compliance: Ensure safe operation of material handling equipment and adherence to company safety policies. You will win us over by having the following qualifications:Basic Qualifications:
Technical Skills: Proficiency with ERP systems, inventory management, and material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts). Strong interpersonal and time management skills to balance multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent communication skills to coordinate with various departments and address issues promptly. Ability to identify and resolve material-related issues optimally. High level of accuracy in data entry and inventory management. Ability to lift and move materials, stand, walk, and operate material handling equipment for extended periods. Preferred Qualifications: Education: Associate degree in business, technical school degree, or equivalent experience. Experience: Previous experience in inventory/material coordination, shipping/receiving, and working with ERP systems.
