The Teradyne Operations team is looking for a highly motivated, energetic Production/Material Planner to focus on material plans that caters to our customers with on time delivery. The Planner must be an excellent problem solver to support customer requests and project plans while working to reduce lead-time and cost. He/She must ensure that plans are met while working to minimize excess and obsolescence. Must be a strong communicator to describe a material plan that supports the customer and describe the costs and risks to do so to Management.
Duties & Responsibilities: Responsible in managing the overall flow of service materials worldwide to cater Teradyne Customers. Ensure stocks in our global local stocking centers & on time delivery goals are met. Analyze the service materials requirements, execute necessary purchases. Order Forecasting & Analysis. Scheduling & Capacity Alignment with Repair Operations. Respond to customer inquiries through Customer Service Representatives & provide on time feedback & updates. Provides Root Cause Corrective Action report on late shipments. Works closely with global Cross Functional Teams (Engineering, Field Service Team, Logistics, Customer Service Reps, Managers & others) on related matters. Performs other related tasks or reports that maybe assigned by superior. Drives continuous improvement initiatives. Basic Qualifications, Education & Skills Required: Degree in Industrial or Electronics Engineering, business, logistics, inventory management, or a related field is preferred. Preferably with at least 1-2 Years Planning Experience. Proficient in MS Windows computer and can perform analysis work in MS Excel. Experience in PowerBI, SQL and/or Datawarehouse query is plus. With high sense of urgency & can interface with the different level of positions in the organization worldwide. Excellent communication & teamwork skills. Willing to work on flexible schedules as the need arises.
