The Production Operative – Grade 1 for Leica Biosystems is responsible for ensuring all products flow through the manufacturing process error free and right first time, adhering to all Environmental, Health and Safety Policies to ensure that risk is minimised as much as is reasonably practicable and completing all documentation according to the principles of GMP.
This position is part of the Production department located in Newcastle Upon-Tyne and will be on-site at Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.
You will be a part of the Production department and report to the Production supervisor responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations of the department. If you thrive in a fast-paced role and want to work to build a world-class production organisation—read on.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ To assist in the manufacture and packaging of finished products to regulated requirements
+ Actively participates in daily management activities taking ownership of any actions assigned.
+ Maintain equipment used as part of normal daily tasks, as required.
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ Experience of working in a Production based environment that deals with high value small production run lines
+ Demonstrated experience of working within the constraints of a regulated industry preferably experience of FDA inspection processes and GMP.
+ Able to apply problem solving logic and can solve basic problems.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
+ Ability to work both as part of a team and as an individual for extended periods of time
