Danfoss in Newbern, TN has an immediate opening for a Production Operator to join our diverse team. The Production Operator reports directly to the department Supervisor and is responsible for operating all machines to maintain established quality standards and production schedules in the manufacture of braided hose. The hours for this position are Monday to Thursday 8:45 pm – 7:00 am with the potential for overtime.

Job ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
Abide by and actively promote all facility safety guidelines and quality procedures.Ensure all material available for next run per the production schedule prior to starting set-up of machine. Load material onto machine per spec sheets and standard operating instructions.
Run machines per spec sheet and operating instructions, completing required quality checks, operating and quality paperwork, travelers, etc. as required. Aid in development and continuous improvement of Standardized Work documentation on an on-going basis.
Maintain a channel of communication between management and departmental personnel on shift crossover.
Monitor productivity to ensure that established quality and production levels are maintained to support the plant mission statement.
Maintain 5-S Standards in work area. Actively participate in plant improvement projects and teams. Perform other duties as assigned.
