\nTitle: Production Operator
\nReports to: Feed Mill Supervisor and Feed Mill Manager
\nSummary Description: Operate equipment to manufacture finished feed including batching, pelleting, and grinding.
\nEssential Job Functions / Duties:
\n\nPerform all duties in a safe manner consistent with company Policy & Procedures and safety training.\nWear all required Personal Protective Equipment.\nMonitor inventories of ingredients and finished feeds (as required).\nMaintain good housekeeping in assigned areas consistent with Good Manufacturing Practices.\nPerform general labor duties as assigned or needed by management.\nCollect all required samples as defined in Quality Control Guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures.\nPerform all required testing as set forth in the Standard Operating Procedures.\nMaintain accurate records, reports, and documentation.\nMonitor batching, pelleting, fat application, grinding, and routing processes.\nInput information into computer automation system accurately.\nOperate equipment, automatically or manually, via computer automation consistent with procedures.\nPerform all job functions consistent with Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, HACCP, and Quality Control Guidelines.\n\nSecondary Functions / Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management. Must attend scheduled safety meetings and other training meetings.
\nSupervision: No supervisory responsibility.
\nQualifications / Experience / License
\n\nMust be task oriented and a self-starter with ability to follow detailed instructions.\nMust have ability to handle paperwork with accuracy.\nAbility to operate a forklift, and tractor.\n\nEducational Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Good reading, writing, math and communication skills required.
\nPhysical / Mental Requirements:
\n\nMust be able to swing sledgehammer and carry 55-pound ingredient bags.\nAbility to work at heights and climb ladders\nAbility to work in confined spaces\nAbility to work in any weather environment.\n\nEEO/Disability and Veterans
