Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Operator to complete fluid bed spray drying operations. This role involves working with a complex fluid bed process that spans five stories and requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.

ResponsibilitiesComplete fluid bed spray drying operations.Dispense product on the 1st floor.Disperse product in powder form on the 2nd floor.Inspect, clean filters, and vacuum the dryer chamber on the 3rd floor.Manage the fluid bed process on the 4th floor.Install filters on the 5th floor to catch product from leaving the facility.Perform changeovers and clean equipment once a month.Monitor, adjust, and measure process performance to ensure optimal production.Communicate with all staff to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.Handle raw eggs, ensuring they go through pasteurization and into the fluid bed process.Use scales for mixing products and maintain accurate measurements.Potentially operate the egg breaking room conveyor system in the future.Conduct proof of concept testing in the pilot scale lab before commercial manufacturing.Essential SkillsExperience in production, chemical handling, and cleanroom environments.Experience as a compounder/operator, technician, or with weighing operations.Ability to work with numbers and use scales accurately.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School diploma required.1-3+ years of work experience in a GMP manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.Technical Associates Degree and/or relevant operations experience preferred.Reliable, motivated, and looking for growth opportunities.Work Environment

The work environment includes a cleanroom-like manufacturing floor, a lab area on the manufacturing floor, and an open office space with no individual offices. The position offers multiple shifts:1st, 2nd shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. (Monday to Friday), and 3rd shift from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. (Sunday night to Friday morning). Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K. The company observes 10 holidays and provides PTO accrual based on the length of service. There is potential for future expansion and growth within the company.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
