Job Description
The Production Helper is responsible for material handling and machine operation, packaging and labeling finished products, and preparing products for shipping. The role includes assisting with the setup and operation of automated production machinery to apply weatherizing solutions to large paper rolls used in the construction industry. Duties also involve shop cleanup, general shop help, and operating a forklift to move materials. The position requires flexibility for twelve-hour day and night shifts on the 'Panama' schedule.
ResponsibilitiesHandle materials and operate machinery effectively.Package and label finished products for shipping.Assist in setting up and operating automated production machinery.Contribute to shop cleanup and provide general shop assistance.Operate forklift to transport materials.Work twelve-hour shifts rotating between days and nights according to the 'Panama' schedule.Experience operating forklifts is required.Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.Proficiency in machine operation and general labor tasks.Competency in handling materials using hand tools and power tools.Candidates with experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments are preferred.Openness to working in an industrial setting is essential.
Work Environment
The work environment is industrial manufacturing, involving heavy machinery. Employees are required to wear personal protective equipment, including safety shoes, hard hats, earplugs, and safety glasses. The role follows a 'Panama' schedule, consisting of two different twelve-hour shifts rotating between days and nights every eight weeks.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.80 - $24.80/hr.
