JOB TITLE: Production Operator
LOCATION: Grand Prairie, TX
SHIFT: 1st Shift (8:00 AM-4:30PM)
JOB OVERVIEW:
Under minimal direction, independently operates production equipment in various areas of manufacturing. Able to also fill in for other positions in the plant, as well as assuming a lead role if necessary.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Operate mixers and three roll mills. Operate gather/weigh equipment. Make operating adjustments as necessary. Trouble-shoot equipment. Operate press/out units. Package/label finished goods. Operate canning lines. Operate tub washer. Proficient in all areas of and the ability to operate SAP Inventory function and perform inventory cycle counts. Stock rotation and minimization of partial containers. Operate Lift Trucks. Read, understand and follow batch tickets to achieve production schedule. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Participate on plant teams and serves as a trainer for employees and/or new hires Other duties as assigned by a supervisor, lead employee or other member of
Safety:
Wear appropriate PPE at all times. Maintain a clean work area and work safely. Participates actively in all plant safety initiatives, programs and training sessions.
ISO:
Follow all standard operating procedures with respect to performing the duties of this position. Stays updated on ISO procedures
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma/GED 1-3 years of experience in a production/manufacturing environment. Strong computer proficiency Able to learn new tasks and assignments and willing to maintain flexibility and support change. Must possess sound mathematical, verbal and written communication skills. (Should be able to work with percentages.) Experience with and knowledge of safety.
