Productor Operator Blender uses equipment such as a dolly to load, unload, and transport material, assisting with manufacturing, packaging, and other steps along a production line.
This position is labor intensive, with a strong element of manual labor and a steady work pace required to support the smooth and continuous flow of production. Work is performed in a non-climate controlled environment, with both internal and external activities.
The current schedule is 12-hour shifts, with a rotating shift change from day shift to night shift every 2 weeks.
One week has 3 scheduled days followed by the second week with 4 scheduled days.
Overtime is scheduled as required.
Starting pay at $17.50/hr. and progressing to over $22.00/hr. in the first year
Major Position ResponsibilitiesMust gain thorough knowledge of all operating and safety procedures. Tasks that may be required, but not limited to:
Transport samples, raw materials, and supplies.
Transport product by using a hand dolly and powder van (truck).Maintain operating log, prepare labels as required, and accurately record information.Operate pneumatic and other required tools.Operate hoisting equipment.Participate in Hazmat/Fire Brigade.Drive tractor-trailer rig to move NC trailers, and other tasks as assigned.Bending, climbing stairs and ladders, reaching above shoulder level.Repetitive pushing & trucking of up to 210 pounds and lifting of up to 55 pounds.Finger, hand, and other physical dexterity required.Must be able to work 12-hour shifts and rotate from day shift to night shift every 14 days.Must be able to perform all job requirements in a non-climate-controlled environment.Weekend work/overtime is required. Basic Qualifications Must have a GED or High School Diploma or able to achieve passing scores on the Work Keys Skills Test administered by CareerSource Capital Region.Must have the ability to communicate, read, and write.Must have the ability to learn and understand oral and written instruction.Must be dependable; have an acceptable work record including attendance.Must have the physical dexterity to operate equipment and instrumentation.Must demonstrate good interpersonal skills.Must be capable of passing task certifications, and powder van driving test.Must have a strong desire to work and have reliable transportation.Must be able to successfully complete a comprehensive background check. BATFE clearance required.Must have a valid State Driver's License.
