SIGN ON BONUS AVAILABLE - $2,500 for day shift hire and $3,500 for night shift hire - this will be paid out over a 1-year period

Nutrition & Health is seeking Operators to join our team in Gibson City, IL. As an Operator in this location, you will work in a unionized, industrial production environment. Rotating shift work, as well as weekends and holidays, are required. Twelve-hour and/or swing shifts may be required for some positions. We offer a competitive benefits package. Primary responsibilities of this position may include, but are not limited to:

Operate machinery used in the production processExamine products to ensure compliance to quality standardsObserve equipment operations and troubleshoot malfunctionsMake adjustments to operating equipmentClean and lubricate equipmentMay be exposed to high noise areas May lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using hoists or forkliftsMay load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyancesMay be exposed to hazardous chemicals

Job Requirements

Minimum qualifications for this position include:

High school diploma or GED equivalentAbility to work safely, including but not limited to use of proper personal protective equipment, such as hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toed safety shoesMust be comfortable working with computerized control systemsAble to tolerate exposure to hot and cold conditions, according to the seasonMust be in good physical healthMust be able to climb laddersMust be able to lift up to 50 poundsMust be able to read/write and follow instructionsMust be able to communicate thoughts and ideas effectivelyAbility to determine proper tools and equipment needed to perform a taskPrevious experience in an industrial production environment is a plus.

Salary Ranges:

$50,300.00 - $75,500.00
