Job Description
As a Production Operator, you will perform all duties associated with the production of custom vitamin premixes. You will receive, unload, store, deliver, and ship raw and finished materials. The work will be divided into four main areas: Mixing, Packaging, Blending, and Operating Packaging Machines.
ResponsibilitiesHandle raw materials and transport them from storage to the dispenser room.Weigh raw materials as required per the batch formula and add them to the required mixer.Print, inspect, and reconcile labels.Fill silos, complete final packaging, and sample per batch requirement.Visually inspect both raw materials and finished goods for quality release.Prepare samples for homogeneity and carryover samples.Safely palletize and store raw materials and finished goods.Essential SkillsExperience in warehouse production and manufacturing environment.Ability to lift 50lbs intermittently.Capability to work with minimal supervision.Good judgment and responsibility in maintaining safety.Adaptability to change.Reliability and conscientiousness in attendance.Proficiency in operating computers and production machinery.General labor and packaging skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsForklift experience is a plus.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
You will work in a custom-based dry premix facility that handles all species of animals. The physical production environment involves handling powders, and the use of PPE and respirators is required. Daily shaving of facial hair for proper fit and daily shower out are necessary. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. You will work both in a team and individually to achieve daily production goals. PPE provided includes uniforms, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, and a bump cap.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ames, Iowa.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
