Job Location: Elmendorf, Texas 


Job Type: Full-Time (Over-time available)

 

Type of Role: On-site (shift/schedule - monthly rotating schedule consisting of one month working days Monday - Friday 8 hour schedule followed by one month of nights working on a 4 day 10 hour schedule and occasional weekends.)

What You'll Do:

As a Production Operator, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation by becoming proficient in the proper handling and transfer of chemicals, effectively operate control systems, perform process troubleshooting, and to produce a quality product. The Production Operator will report to the Production Supervisor. 

 

What We're Looking For:

Produce product by making simple blends and reactions according to the production schedule and product recipe; all made to product specification.  Learn to handle production related equipment such as reactor vessels, storage tanks, drums, totes, pumps and hoses. Safely operate a forklift in a congested area with high foot traffic. Monitor process conditions, equipment, and control systems. Keep operating area clean. Serve on teams such as Emergency Response or HSES Team as required. Participate in the plant safety discussions.  Use troubleshooting skills to resolve process related problems.

 

Skills That Make a Difference:

High School diploma, GED or equivalent. Mechanical aptitude. Ability to operate a forklift. (we will provide training) A readiness and willingness to learn our process. Detail-oriented and organized. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office. Willingness to learn new systems. Good communication skills. Ability to work in teams cohesively.  Ability to occasionally wear SCBA/Respirator. 

 

Considered a Plus: 

Technical training is a plus. Previous production or industrial related experience.

 

Working Conditions:

Requires use of appropriate PPE, Personal Protective Equipment, to fulfill safety requirements. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
