Production Operator - North Geismar** We are looking for a Production Operator to join our CM team in our North Geismar, LA location. **Come create chemistry with us!** Chemical Production Operators at our **North Geismar DNT** facility are responsible for conducting the daily activities related to the manufacturing operations of the chemical facility. **During your 12-hour shift as a Production Operator, you will** Operator responsibility and accountability includes, but is not limited to: - Working within the scope of procedures and instructions to manufacture chemical products by operating processes and equipment, primarily via DCS and PLC systems. - Facilitate the transfer of raw materials and finished products to and from vessels including, railway cars, tank trucks, totes, and drums. - Ensures data collection / documentation of the process, interprets results and responds with appropriate adjustments. - Assists with the process and equipment troubleshooting process. - Ensures the proper handling of waste streams to comply with corporate, local, state, and federal regulations. - Participates in and complies with all training and development activities. - Performs emergency response activities, as required. **If you...** - High school diploma or equivalent - Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience required **Preferred Qualifications:** - PTEC or other post-secondary technical program preferred - Previous chemical operation experience preferred - Previous military experience may be considered as years of experience - Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. **Create your own chemistry with you@BASF** At BASF, you will have the chance to do meaningful work towards building a more sustainable future.
