Job Description

Responsible for the production planning/co-ordination, shop scheduling and dispatchingSupport daily material/production planning based on customers’ ordersPlan for production which includes releasing of work orders and ensuring on-time delivery of shipments based on customer requirementsOptimize loading capacity and monitor movement of finished goods to minimize retention period of finished goodsWork closely with purchasing and warehouse/logistics groups to ensure on-time receipt, delivery of materials and finished goods shipmentsMonitor and co-ordinate on material shortages, expediting and ensuring material availability to support production planDrive and minimize excess and obsolescence inventoryAssist in developing and improving existing processes and proceduresDevelop and maintain key performance metricsWell verse in system and process and go to person as subject matter expertise in Planning functionDefine and develop process when none is availableWorking with various functional groups (and sites, if needed) to come out with best known methods (BKMs) for implementationImprove closed-loop executionCreate Training material (Regular retraining & Job aids, FAQ) & Roll-out, as neededHighlight if there are projects & timelines limitationsWork on system set up and data cleansingPerform and Support UAT, cut over and Go Live as neededHelp to trouble shoot and address issues by raising enhancement/incidents tickets and follow up on resolutions

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Supply Chain Management / LogisticsMinimum 3 years related industry experience in production planning and inventory managementProficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and experience in SAP system is highly desirableGood interpersonal and communication skillsTeam player, self driven and able to work under pressure with a sense of urgencyKnowledge of supply chain and materials flow conceptsExperience in low volume high mix and DFT/pull manufacturing environment is a plusExperience in developing and improving existing processes and procedures
