Production Planner

What Will You Do?

You will develop, coordinate and execute schedules by tracking production capacity and material availability to achieve optimum production efficiency.This position will recommend schedule adjustments as needed to maximize production progress, labor and material availability.

You will utilize the Supply Chain Management System to create a manufacturing schedule, plan, edit and release manufacturing component Part orders, with the goals of minimizing excess work-in-process and finished component inventories.This will allow a final assembly schedule to be executed at or above schedule completion goals considering production process, labor and material availability.

What Do You Need?

2 years’ experience in manufacturing or inventory related area, Required Supervisory/Management experience Supply Chain Management Methods  Capacity planning and production flowFundamental understanding of MAPICS, MRP, MRP II and Theory ConstraintsDirect knowledge of principles, practices and methods of materials management and related disciplines, including:bill of material (BOM); capacity requirements planning (CRP); capacity management; cycling counting; inventory management (IM); just-in-time (JIT); Kanban; manufacturing resource planning (MPR II); master production scheduling (MPS); material requirements planning (MRP); repetitive manufacturing; order management;supply chain management and shop floor reporting systemsUnderstanding of fundamental manufacturing methods: Bill of Materials, Routings, Item Master, Item Warehouse, Standards and Item TypesFundamental knowledge of Warehouse Management System and the AS400 Transfer SystemKnowledge of Zebra printer operation to generate production labelsDocument management systemsHandle multiple projects simultaneously within established time constraintsProficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite, internetWorking knowledge of Continuous Improvement and Lean ManufacturingHigh School diploma or equivalent,Required
