Production Planner

Role Summary: Flowserve is currently looking for a Production Planner. In this role you will be in charge of coordinating and managing the production planning and scheduling for the manufacturing of Nuclear Pump, repairs, and components. You will work closely with project managers and the production supervisor to make sound business decisions that positively impact the ability to meet the needs of our customers while satisfying quality, inventory, cost and delivery requirements.

Work hours: Monday to Friday from 7 am to 4 pm.

Location: Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities:

Perform demand-based planning functions including manufacturing planning to meet customer requirements, scheduling, expediting products through the manufacturing process, managing inventories to sufficient levels and coordinating with all support activities including purchasing, production, quality, and shipping to support the goal of 100% on-time delivery performance.Creation of primary digital job routings , Verify material availability for routings. Creation of physical job floor routing and required documents. Leading planning meetings. Prioritize the work on the floor to align with customer delivery dates.Review production status on regular basis and adjust planning / Escalate deviations to relevant stakeholders.Proactively manage parts which are on NCR-hold to bring them back into production stream.Assisting management to resolve problems with late shipments, material shortages, customer schedule changes, cancellations of customer orders amongst other activities.Inventory / Materials management.Assist in continuous improvement processes in the plant.Performs other duties and assignments as needed.

Requirements:

At least 3 years of experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment.Fluency and proficiency in the practical application of scheduling logic, capacity planning, input/output control, product structures, routings, and standards maintenance.Comprehension in manufacturing techniques such as machining, assemble, welding, NDE, and Hydrostatic testing.Knowledgeable in master scheduling, production planning and detailed scheduling, demand management.Detailed-oriented, great organizational skills.Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.Good communication and organizational skills required with the ability to work well with all levels of employees and internal departments in a diverse environment.Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required

Preferred Experience / Skills:

BS or BA Degree in relevant field.Experience in Nuclear industry.
