Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Production Planner/Scheduler to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 2 years of experience in a fast-paced, high mix, low volume production environment. The candidate should have a background in the aerospace, defense, or new tech sectors. This role demands a metrics-driven individual with a solid knowledge of ERP/MES tools and excellent skills in Excel, with SQL skills being a plus.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and maintain robust production schedules to ensure optimal use of resources.Monitor and adjust production schedules in response to changes in demand, resource availability, and operational efficiency.Coordinate with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to align production activities with organizational goals.Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure alignment with production targets and timelines.Utilize data analysis to identify trends, forecast production needs, and implement process improvements.Generate reports and present findings to senior management.Use ERP/MES tools to manage production workflows, inventory, and materials planning.Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance within ERP/MES systems.Collaborate with IT and other departments to optimize the use of ERP/MES systems for production planning.Act as a liaison between production, supply chain, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.Conduct regular meetings to communicate production goals, status updates, and address any issues.Foster a collaborative working environment to drive cross-functional team success.Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to enhance production efficiency and quality.Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to implement innovative solutions.Drive lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste and maximize productivity.Essential SkillsMinimum of 2+ years of relevant experience in production planning/scheduling within a high mix, low volume environment.Prior experience in aerospace, defense, or new tech industries.Strong proficiency in ERP/MES tools and advanced Excel skills; SQL skills are a plus.Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Additional Skills & QualificationsDegree in Production Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field (preferred, not required).Work Environment
This position is onsite at our headquarters in Long Beach, within the EDC building.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.50 - $38.50
