Job Description
We are looking for energetic and highly motivated candidates for a production planning role in ISR & Space Solutions Windsor Locks. This position is the focal point for the execution of daily activities to deliver high-quality, highly-engineered development and production hardware on-time to its customers. The selected candidate will be responsible for the timely performance of various manufacturing tasks ranging from requirements planning through the shipment of deliverables in support of NASA and DoD Programs. Applicants must exhibit a high degree of initiative and sound judgment, working independently and as a member of an Integrated Product Team. The individual must be capable of adapting to changing conditions and work cooperatively in a team environment.
ResponsibilitiesInterface with cross-functional IPD to ensure schedules are adhered to with a proper sense of urgency to achieve customer delivery requirements.Monitor production schedules and advance materials through assembly and test operations.Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with the execution of production plans.Release production orders, compile historical build folders, and assemble hardware kits in support of 100% on-time starts.Coordinate the utilization of outside processes and the shipment of hardware to customers.Conduct root cause analysis when goals are not met and initiate corresponding corrective actions.Initiate and support process improvement initiatives.Understand and interpret ERP system requirements and accurately integrate complex production schedules.Essential SkillsExperience with planning and working with various functions.Experience in ITP meetings and understanding schedules.SAP experience or similar ERP system.2+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree, or 6+ years of experience without a bachelor's degree.Experience in inventory and purchasing.Experience on the shop floor working with engineers/inspectors.Additional Skills & QualificationsERP experience required (SAP preferred).Work Environment
The candidate will split time between working behind a desk and on the shop floor. The schedule for this job is Wednesday - Sunday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $39.88 - $39.88
