We have an immediate need for a Production Planner to join our Production Control team. In this role, you will play a key part in the planning of all of our manufacturing, assembly and procurement activities. Primary Responsibilities:
Planning of all production and purchased material for our various complex optical components and assemblies. This is done through defining, maintaining, monitoring, and controlling of manufactured and purchased components and requirements with the aid of the on-line Production Planning Procedures, our ERP system (ERP LN 10) and planning and scheduling principles.Plan and schedule the production of sales orders entered into our ERP system from ordering material to issuing material to Production and/or Assembly.Work closely with the Operations, Supply Chain and Program Management teams to ensure production schedules are well understood and executed.Develop planning & scheduling tools and processes that improve on-time delivery throughout production and assembly activities.Required to troubleshoot and correct production transaction issues in ERP LN.Highlight and communicate when scheduling issues arise that may have a negative impact on OTD performance and/or factory resource planning.Share in the commitment towards a positive workplace cultureQualifications & Experience:
Completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma; Post-Secondary degree/diploma would be preferred.Demonstrated competency working in a manufacturing environment for a minimum of 4-5 years.Extensive experience with Production Planning and Scheduling systems and tools in a manufacturing environment.Experience using a manufacturing ERP system and specifically ERP LN 10 is definite asset for this position.Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel, Project and other Microsoft Office applications.CAPICS CPIM certification is a definite asset for this position.Strong leadership skillsHighly effective communications skillsProven ability to solve technical problems and make sound decisionsHighly motivated with a demonstrated positive attitudeWillingness to learn and acquire knowledge/understanding through study, instruction or experienceRaytheon ELCAN offers a competitive compensation package that includes incentive program, benefits, and pension plan.
The successful candidate will be required to complete a criminal reference check and obtain/maintain a Government of Canada security clearance and any applicable clearances with respect to the handling and transfer of controlled goods.
