Production Planner
Job Title: Production PlannerJob Description Develop the schedule for production at the highest level, determining which products will be stocked or planned either prior to shipment or prior to assembly for made-to-order operations. Responsibilities + Translate orders into a sequential work schedule. + Analyze production specifications and capacity data to perform mathematical calculations for determining production processes and tools. + Plan and schedule workflow for each department and operation according to previously established production sequences and lead times. + Plan the sequence of operations. + Communicate with department supervisors to determine the status of assigned projects. + Expedite operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. + Perform other duties as required. Essential Skills + Experience in production scheduling, production planning, procurement, and planning. + Proficiency with ERP systems and inventory control. + Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems. + Ability to communicate effectively with various levels of personnel. + Capability to work independently and as part of a team. + Strong problem-solving, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills. + Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time, energy, and resources effectively. + High attention to detail and accuracy. + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. + Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact positively with others. + Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English. + Knowledge and understanding of planning and production methodologies. + Strong understanding of plant processes in relation to production processes for each line. + Analytical thinking skills and the ability to conduct research into issues or situations. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Undergraduate degree in business or a related curriculum (or an equivalent combination of experience and education). + 2 to 5 years of experience in production planning, inventory, materials planning, or a related field. + Relevant certification and/or license may be required during the course of employment. Work Environment The work environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively. The role involves working with various departments and managing production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for success in this role. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.84 - $43.26/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
