Role Summary:
Join Flowserve Port Arthur, Valve Division! The Production Planner position involves planning and scheduling to execute the production plan and meet customer deliveries. The department reviews all repair dispositions and bills of material to prepare products for production.
The associate will quote or assist in the quotation process, enter orders, create work orders, and assist purchasing in ordering materials. The planning department coordinates with marketing, engineering, purchasing, sales, and manufacturing to ensure all customer expectations are met.

Responsibilities:
Job creation, cancellation, and reschedule accounting for material and capacity daily.
Communicate with customers daily regarding repair and field services to identify and define repair requirements, scope and objectives.
Provide realistic schedule for valve release within production window.
Ensure work orders are released and sent to the shop daily.
Review inventory levels for increasing turns and put forth processes to reduce slow-moving inventory.
Review, create, and release orders and valve packets to meet customer deliveries.
Process BOM & Material Requirement changes for orders in production.
Provide feedback to Sales & Commercial Operations daily.
Communicate effectively with plant, engineering, customer service, and other personnel to ensure objectives are achieved.
Must be willing to work overtime hours, especially during plant outages and scheduled turnarounds on weekends & holidays as required.
Work with factory daily to become an expert within the product and its manufacturing process.
On a daily basis, recognize and change make/buy decisions to reduce lead times and increase profit.
Process BOM changes for orders in production
Requirements:
3 – 5 years of working in a manufacturing environment
High School Diploma or GED
Working MRP knowledge with Oracle &/or SAP Experience
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
Must be willing to work overtime hours, especially during plant outages and scheduled turnarounds on weekends & holidays as required.
Microsoft Office Applications Experience (i.e.: Excel, Word, etc.)
Ability to present effective information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and employees of the company.
Understanding of Interdepartmental Interactions
Basic Knowledge of Applicable control valve Parts and Valves
Knowledge of the Flow of the Materials Throughout the Shop
Team management and leadership skills
Preferred:
