Basic Job Functions:The Production Planner will be responsible for managing the weekly and monthly production planning cycles to meet customer deliveries and maximize throughput in the production facilities. The Production Planner will be actively involved with sales, project management, and other teams at the headquarter office to establish and maintain backlog capacities. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications: Two years’ experience as a production planner Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, etc. for manufacturing and distribution Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs Experience with an ERP system High school diploma or equivalent Experience in data analysis Ability to travel up to 25% to production sites Preferred Qualifications: Project management experience Ability to interact well with internal and external customers Excellent communication skills College education or certification(s) Minimum 2 years’ experience in data mining, analysis, and report generation
