The Production Planner Scheduler role is responsible for all aspects of corrugate containers and pallets including creating specifications, purchasing, and managing inventories to meet our customers’ needs and on-time delivery. **This person will be the main point of contact with suppliers to ensure on time delivery of corrugate and pallets.** **Job Functions:** + Work with Customer Service and Sales on packaging specification. + Manage and Update existing Packaging Specifications. + Create Packaging Specifications for New Business. + Create Purchase Orders for Corrugate. + Monitor Production Schedule to ensure delivery of corrugate in a timely manner. + Manage Inventory for Corrugate supplies. + Update Production Schedule on corrugate status pertaining to orders. + Responsible for Corrugate items transfer to other sites. + Order/Manager Pallet inventories to meet production schedule. + Order/Manage inventories to minimize working capital. + Utilize SAP and Material Resource Planning tools. + Backup Scheduler. **Requirements:** + Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 3 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. + Must be well-organized, able to work with minimum direct supervision. + Prioritize multiple tasks to meet production schedules and system deadlines. + Must possess excellent organizational skills & customer-service skills. + Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. + Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel. + Previous experience with MRP software. **Preferred:** + 5 years manufacturing experience in packaging or equivalent combination of education and experience. + Knowledge of supply chain management. + SAP Experience. **Pay Range:** **$36,180.00** **-** **$45,180.00** **GPI’s Benefit Program** + **Competitive Pay** + **401(k) w/employer matching** + **Health & Welfare Benefits** + **Medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage** + **Short and Long-Term Disability** + **Life Insurance** + **Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance** + **Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts** + **Various Voluntary benefits** + **Adoption Assistance Program** + **Employee Discount Programs** + **Employee Assistance Program** + **Tuition Assistance Program** + **Paid Time Off + 11 paid company holidays each year** **Applicants will be accepted on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.** **This role is incentive plan eligible.
