Production Planning - Commodity Support
Job Title: Production Planning - Commodity Support Job Code: 19675 Job Location: Salt Lake City, Utah Job Schedule: 9/80, 1st shift Job Description: This person will contribute to the company’s success by interfacing with multiple departments and organizations and is primarily responsible for ensuring project deliverables are completed on schedule through commodities areas. The work will include communicating, coordinating, and negotiating workflow through multiple work centers via various functional organizations to secure needed resources while ensuring changing customer demands, and schedule deadlines are met Essential Functions: + Expedite flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules + Monitor order status, including material status, managing work in progress (WIP) areas, location accuracy, inventory discrepancies, manufacturing and program support, and communication support + Analyze material configuration and job order status using SAP (ERP/MRP system) + Ensure availability of materials to meet production requirements and delivery commitments + Stage daily work using factory Visual Management Systems (VMS) + Identify and create goals that lead to the successful completion of project deliverables within the allotted time + Perform detailed schedule, risk, and continuous improvement-based analysis to identify, develop, and drive solutions + Regularly lifting, twisting, bending, and rotating with up to 32 pounds + Working overtime, nontraditional days or hours, and weekends/holidays when needed Qualifications: + Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
