Northrop Grumman Space Propulsion Systems sector is currently seeking a **Manager Production Planning/Control 2.** This position will be supporting the Propulsion Systems Division at our **Promontory Utah** location. The Production Control Manager will be over a team that is responsible for a variety of processes, including last mile material coordination, “make” item movement and scheduling, manufacturing order maintenance and scheduling, and material consumption. They also review demand planning systems to ensure needed flight materials are available in inventory and issued to the manufacturing team to support operations. **Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:** + Supervises a team that plans and schedules the movement of raw materials, packaging materials, parts, components, services, supplies, finished goods and related material through production and inventory processes at the assigned location. + With their team, plans, prepares, issues, and controls production manufacturing orders and coordinates with material planning and distribution to ensure a controlled flow and consumption of approved materials timed to meet production requirements. + With their team, owns providing the production line with what is needed to execute production (materials, planning, schedules). + Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed. + Ensure that the MRP demand aligns to the production schedule base on make part management. Work with other functions to fix and communicate impact of misalignments to operations. + Verifies material supply and demands, prepares manufacturing orders to produce components or parts based on MRP demand that aligns with a master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements. + Supervises a team that coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.; schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers, and requests for shipping orders. + Identify and manage team member skills and abilities to meet business needs. Creates and drives accountability to standards and key performance metrics. + Understand and the budget expectations for the team. Manage the team to perform within the budget and schedule requirements. **Basic Qualifications:** + Bachelors Degree or years of relevant work experience + 5 to10+ years of Master scheduling/production scheduling MRP experience (preferably in multiple MRP systems). + Previous experience leading and managing teams + Excellent writing and communication skills + Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality controls + Excellent productivity and organizational skills + Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions + US Citizenship **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience in working in MRP systems (Costpoint and/or SAP experience preferred), inventory management, and managing manufacturing orders + Experience in Aerospace or Defense manufacturing environments + Familiarity with Government change control procedures (NASA, DoD, Airforce, Navy, etc.) + Understanding or certification in Lean Manufacturing. + Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, and plans + Proven history of leveraging multiple departments to solve complex issues **Position Benefits:** As a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman Space Systems, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including: + Medical, Dental & Vision coverage + 401K + Educational Assistance + Life Insurance + Employee Assistance Programs & Work/Life Solutions + Paid Time Off + Health and Wellness Resources + Employee Discounts **Salary Range:** $101,500 - $152,300 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
