Production Planning Coordinator

JOB PURPOSE

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Leather Goods Production Planning and Control, the Production Planner Coordinator will be responsible for the short to medium term planning of production processes for vendors. The person will provide actions and information to support LG production set up, schedules and deliveries in a manner that is congruent with the critical path and objectives of the business unit, with a specific focus on meeting production KPIs and on-time delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES Define and prioritise the allocation of products to manufacturers, managing external production capacity Liaise with Procurement on a daily basis to ensure the feasibility of the production plan by monitoring raw material stock levels Ensure adequate planning and monitoring of leather goods production, proposing trade-offs where necessary due to limited raw material resources Manage Stealth activities related to work and sales order creation and manufacturer management Receive weekly orders from Sourcing and provide planning feedback Liaise with Order Management to ensure timely receipt of orders and manage re-timing Liaise with the start-up team to contribute to and monitor the critical path for the start-up phase Monitor production plan and finished goods deliveries through daily interaction with vendors and production control team Ensure data accuracy is maintained Prepare different analyses and reports: on department and vendor performance, timing of deliveries and adherence to lead times, causes of delays and production capacity forecasts Liaise with Product Engineering for BOMs and technical information Manage and upload price lists PERSONAL PROFILE Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering is preferred  Proven experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment, with specific experience in supplier management and planning activities Strong analytical skills required  High level of proficiency in MS Office applications - Excel essential  Experience of using spreadsheets for data analysis and reporting  Knowledge of SAP, Sedapta, Stealth 3K, SQL, Power BI, Access a plus Solid functional knowledge of ERP software with a preference for SAP Fluency in English is essential Excellent verbal/written communication and time management skills Proven leadership with excellent communication skills  An open minded approach to work combined with a strong problem solving orientation FOOTER
