Position Summary
The Production Planning Coordinator will report to the Production Planning and Inventory Control Manager and will be responsible for meeting customer demands by planning, coordinating and organizing the production orders. You will need to be knowledgeable of the products, customers, and internal transactional processes.
**This is a 6-month contract role with potential for extension or permanent opportunity but not guaranteed**

Perform systems transactions in ERP system, “Visual”Update promise datesInput labour/daily labour entryReceive finished goodsPrint drawingsMonitor production activity and progress to ensure materials, sub-assemblies and finished goods are progressing according to the plan; highlight areas of concern for resolution with the teamCoordinate schedule changes due to production problems, design changes or shortagesAssist with evaluating production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes, tool, and manpower requirementsCreate work orders as per scheduling requirements and release for productionGeneral administrative work as requiredConduct cycle countsRequired to be on the production floor approximately 25% of the timeCarry out Raw Materials PurchasingAny other duties assigned by managerExperience and Skill Required
