Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Job Description


Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain production schedules in line with customer demands,
Optimize resource utilization and minimize lead times as demand basis,
Collaborate with production teams closely to ensure smooth execution of production plans and address any production issues or bottlenecks,
Planning & reporting the master production schedule according to the capacity constraints, line loading and customer order dating,
Creation of the production orders in SAP, APO,
Collaborate with Material Planning for material availability,
Monitoring the production and making the revisions of the plan and dispatch dates on SAP when necessary,
Preparing weekly shipping plan,
Confirming customer orders in SAP based on plant load and customer needs,
Communicate delivery timelines with internal departments and Customer Service,
Reason code entry for order lines status to ensure accurate KPI scores (Order dating, Plant Lead Time, Order to Promise),
Work closely with cross-functional teams including Procurement (GSM), Sales, Regional Engineering and Customer Service to support overall business objectives and ensure alignment across departments,
Being a member of local and regional projects,
Participating in the inventory counting activities (during the year & year-end counting) and internal & external audits.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from Engineering (preferably from Industrial or Mechanical Engineering),
Min. 3 years of work experience in manufacturing companies will be an asset,
SAP MM & PP module knowledge is an asset,
MS Office Applications (especially advanced Excel, Macro) knowledge is necessary,
Advanced level of written and spoken in English is a must,
Strong planning, organization, problem analysis, decision making and communication skills,
Analytical and open minded, pro-active, team player,
