Weatherford has a great opportunity for an experienced Production Planning Specialist to join the team in Altens, Aberdeen.

The Production Planning Specialist prepares production schedules. Establishes sequence and lead time of each operation to meet completion dates.

Roles & Responsibilities:

OPERATIONS

Date manage new orders as per procedure Revise pick date, ship date and ship date as per production meetings Raise work order, communicate with production/workshop/buyers/machine shop to ensure all necessary work is completed Identify key list of orders and chase up with buyers and planners on these daily Communicate with vendors for key purchase order items as well Any other tasks requested by the planning supervisor/manager or the manufacturing manager

COMMUNICATION

Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external Supervisors & Managers should clearly communicate expectations, roles and responsibilities to their reports

FINANCIAL

All employees have an accountability to the organisation to be financially responsible whether they are in charge of a function budget or simply their own expenses Costs incurred should be within approved budget, processed within agreed time frames & following the relevant financial policy and procedure

Requirements:

1-3 years planning/scheduling experience in an MRP-driven manufacturing environment.  College degree in business or technical discipline Strong organization and time-management skills Ability to work as part of cross-functional teams Good understanding of Materials Requirement Planning (MRP)  Good communication skills (oral and written) Ability to effectively interface and collaborate with all departments to ensure positive results Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
