Specifications

Education, Knowledge and Experience

 

· High school diploma or the equivalent preferred.

· Experience working in a production/manufacturing environment preferred.

Organizational Relationships

Reports to: Production Manager Direction Received from: Production Manager(s), Production Operations Representative(s), Senior Production Coordinator(s) and Lead Production Clerk(s)

 

Essential Functions

· Operate all department equipment as related to assigned project responsibilities.

· The ability to perform multiple packaging functions within the Packaging Dept.

· Check assembled materials for completeness.

· Maintain the appropriate required department records.

· Maintain work area in neat, orderly, and safe manner.

· Perform other clerical work or other duties as assigned.

· Perform all processes pertaining to the preparation, assembly, and distribution of materials.

· May perform work of higher classified positions for purpose of cross training

· Participate in daily departmental stretching program.

· Team player with initiative, able to work independently

· The ability and commitment to meet Dept. overtime requirements.

 

Specifications

· Observe all safety and hygiene requirements as specified and directed.

· Apply concepts of continuous improvement and demonstrate core values and leadership

principles.

 

 

 

Physical Demands

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, push carts weighing 600 pounds, and move pallets

weighing approx. 2000 pounds with a pallet jack.

· Ability to stand, sit and bend over to pick up materials for the entire shift as necessary.

· Have the dexterity to grasp and assemble small packages for long periods of time, as required.

· Ability to read small font on a screen or on paper.

· Ability to use a pack list to match up specific pieces of materials to build in a kit.

· Ability to hold, read, and understand the information on the scanners used in the Packaging

area.

· Ability to read and understand the difference in part numbers in the Packaging area.

· Ability to do the same task repeatedly during a shift

· Flexibility to shift from one assembly to another throughout the day as needed.

· Ability to understand and follow directions provided by the area senior.

 

Cross-Training and Additional Job Functions

 

During periods when normal assigned work volume is low, may be required to perform

other job functions in other departments within the Operations organization. Employees

performing other job functions will receive cross-training to ensure they meet position

requirements. Additional position requirements may include but are not limited to: lifting

up to 65 lbs., pushing carts weighing up to 600 lbs., standing or sitting for extended

periods of time, performing basic computer functions.
