Williams-Sonoma India sourcing office was established in 2013. We are based in Gurugram, India. We are sourcing premium products across all categories of Home Furnishing and recorded double digit year-on-year growth. We have a dynamic team of over 100 members handling versatile vendors across India, Nepal & Bangladesh. We are looking to onboard talented people and create successful professional journey.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: -
1. Understand the QA and manufacturing processes within the factory.
2. Establish a technical and business rapport with the vendor’s production team and staff.
3. Execute daily in-line, Dupro and final inspections in accordance with WSI procedures.
4. Perform daily in-line check in production floor in accordance with WSI procedures.
5. Provide daily quality control reports per PQA/OCA.
6. Keep his/her lead QA well informed of any potential issues that may affect quality or delivery.
- Learn to solve production quality problems.
- Support any data analysis and process improvements implemented by higher management.
- Perform daily tasks as assigned by their immediate superior.
- Cross check production loading and schedule plans.
- Responsible for taking proper care of any assigned testing and inspections tools.
- Participate in QC training programs in order to upgrade their basic Product knowledge.
- Able to perform required tasks and provide required reports to Lead/Supervisor/Manager.
- Learn the Major Manufacturing techniques in the industry and should develop hands on knowledge.
- Insure all reported data is accurate.( proof work prior to submission)
- Be prepared to work longer hours at short notice on special occasions.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES: -
Basic Skills required: -
- Diploma in Textile engineering / Diploma in QA / Graduate in Textile or any equivalent degree.
- Understand digital photography.
- Understand Textiles quality control processes and systems.
- Able to read and understand CAD drawings and their implementation on the final product.
- At least 7 years experience in a Textile manufacturing quality control role.
General Skills Required
- Effective communication & report writing skills in English. Able to communicate in Local Language is an added advantage.
- Good interpersonal skill.
- Good Initiative, able to work under high pressure working environment.
