This person will report to the Plant Manager and is responsible for the production support functions of the plant, inventory management and records as well as the smooth operations of all office activities including accounting activities.  This includes activities to optimize the production scheduling, maintaining daily production records, tracking material usage, and assisting with human resource functions. 

Calculate figures such as required amounts of labor, materials, and manufacturing costs, using production schedules, MRP/MPS system and reports, calculators, or computers. Compile information, such as production rates and progress, materials inventories, materials used, and customer information, so that status reports can be completed. Confer with Plant Supervisors and Operators, Procurement, Distribution and Customer Service to coordinate production and shipping activities, and to resolve complaints or eliminate delays. Examine documents, materials, and products, monitoring work processes, in order to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications. Maintain accurate production schedule, providing data to Procurement in order to insure that inventories of materials and supplies are available to facilitate efficiencies and to meet production demands. Review documents such as production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and materials requirements, and material priorities. Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with Management, Customer Service, and Production. Distribute production schedules and work orders to departments. Work with New Product Setup to establish Bills of Material, routings, and information on required equipment, numbers of workers needed, and cost projections. Plan production commitments and timetables for business units, specific programs, and/or jobs, using sales forecasts. Monitor production data, including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, and quality control measures, using this information for Continuous Improvement activities such as maintenance of routings and BOM’s, increasing accuracy of production schedule and efficiency reporting. \n Bachelor’s degree preferred; High School diploma or 5 years’ experience in a responsible position in a warehouse or manufacturing environment required Must have at least 2 years’ experience in similar role Must have good written and oral communication skills, and work well with others Leadership, organizational, and proven mathematical and record keeping skills required \n
