Career Opportunity:

The Production Scheduler will support the operation of our fast-paced packaging manufacturing facility. You will collaborate with customer service, production, and shipping to manage the production schedule in a manner that allows for an orderly flow of production to customers.

How You Will Impact Smurfit Westrock:

 

Ensure our customers get the quality, consistency, and responsiveness they deserveWork with the leadership team to meet on-time performance goals, and achieve optimal machine utilization, while minimizing costs as much as possibleEffectively employ the master schedule, ensuring orders are scheduled and sequenced to meet on-time delivery and the order fulfillment objectives of the business unitPerform necessary rework based on unexpected outages/downtimeEvaluate current processes and recommend improved processes   Schedule production for assigned work centers and meet customer due dates while maximizing efficiency.

 

What You Need to Succeed:

High School Diploma or GED is required; degree is a plus1-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment; packaging, printing, paper industry is preferredInnovative Thinker: possess the ability to evaluate large amounts of information Able to work in a time bound environmentStrong organizational skillsAbility to multi-task and balance conflicting objectives Able to work as needed on weekend/off on call requirementsTechnical / software skills; MS Office, ability to learn new software
