Primary FunctionAPCOM's climate controlled facility in Franklin, Tennessee, manufactures electric thermostats, pipe nipples, dip tubes, elements, and burner assemblies. The Production Setup Operator (2nd Shift) will initiate manufacturing operations in accordance with customer requirements and monitor performance to optimize production processes. The Production Setup Operator will learn multiple setup positions as part of the cross-training program to help support the department while others are out.

Hourly Rate of Pay: $22.25/hr ($21.25/hr base plus $1.00/hr shift differential)
Bonus Opportunity: $1500
$500 at 90th day of hire, $500 at 180th day of hire, $500 at 365th day of hire
Must not be on a corrective action for attendance to qualify for bonus payments

Responsibilities Set up equipment and train operators in the correct set up and operation of said equipment Understand and practice the safety requirements of equipment and assume the safety of self and others around the equipment Responsible for all aspects of safety, quality, production and preventative maintenance in their area of responsibility Read and work from a production schedule and required outputs for day production activities, including working with key members of other functional areas Become familiar with APCOM’s product specifications and the quality standards, including assisting in the development and upkeep of operating procedures for process and equipment Troubleshooting minor problems associated with all machines Will be required to participate in continued education and training sessions Qualifications High School Diploma or GED; Vocational/Technical certification preferred Minimum of 1 year related work experience Must be able to read/understand production schedules and blueprints Basic computer knowledge Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds (and up to 100 pounds with assistance) and be capable of walking/standing for the entire shift Must be a self-starter, well organized, able to work both independently and as a team member, possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
